The IPM Star Certification Program recognizes and rewards IPM practitioners who meet a high standard for IPM in schools, childcare centers and school-age programs. The program provides incentives for everyone to reduce pest and pesticide risks to health and the environment. Applicants are evaluated by a careful on-site evaluation of their IPM program by an experienced IPM professional from the IPM Institute. The Evaluator will use a quantitative, practical evaluation document specific to the organization type to measure performance. A minimum score must be achieved to become an IPM Star Certified Organization. Winners from the IPM Pride Award will be selected by the Southwest Technical Resource Center to undergo IPM Star Certification.
