Certified Applicator Trainers

Education is an important part of the pesticide applicator licensing process.  TDA-SPCS keeps a list of course providers this link will take you to the TDA website that maintains this list.

In addition Texas AgriLife Extension offers several resources to aid in this important education.

Agricultural and Environmental Safety program offers pesticide applicator training (general standards course), technician apprentice training, pest control, termite, lawn and ornamental, weed category courses.  This program also offers educational information for those who engage in Structural and Commodity fumigation.

The Center for Urban and Structural Entomology is a part of the Department of Entomology at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The objective of the Center is to:

  • Discover the basic biological and ecological parameters that limit the growth of insect pests in urban environments.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate biological control systems as part of an integrated pest management program.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate IPM technologies involving pesticides for management of urban pests.
  • Develop and implement a technology transfer system based on the stated objectives.

Under the Center is the Phillip J. Hamman Termite Control Training School which offers technicians and applicators in-depth information about correct and proper treatments to termite control. Students will learn to apply appropriate technologies and proven methods that can protect structures from termite invasion.
