School 2025 School IPM Coordinator Training schedule
Welcome to the AgriLife Extension website where you can find information about school IPM coordinator trainings. Below are the listing that will be taught by AgriLife Extension Specialists. Can’t make one of our trainings check out Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Facility Services Training website for more information on their dates and locations.
Can’t make an in-person training then visit our AgriLife Learn website where you can take the 6-hour school IPM coordinator course, 1 hour school IPM refresher CEU, or train your teachers on IPM for School Gardens.
To register for the trainings listed below follow the hyperlink listed below each training. Registration Costs $240 for both days, $155 for one day, this will include lunch, a spiral bound book with training materials, and CEU credits for those who have a TDA AG or SPCS license. Day One – Required New Coordinator Training
All public schools in TX are required under Texas Administrative Code (TAC), Title 4, Part 1, Chapter 7, Subchapter H, Division 7 School IPM to adopt, implement and maintain a school integrated pest management program. Part of these requirements is for all Independent School Districts to appoint an IPM Coordinator by the Superintendent, and then attend an approved school IPM Coordinator training. This all-day course meets the requirements that TDA requires for all new IPM coordinators. At the same time, for those IPM Coordinators who have been in their positions for more than three years, this course will offer the 6 hours of CEU credit to maintain your IPM Coordinator certification. For pest management professionals and ground personnel this course offers a good foundation about integrated pest management, the laws and rules associated with pesticide licensing, school IPM and pesticide safety. TDA AG & SPCS credit will be available. This course is open to everyone!

Day Two – Advanced Coordinator Training
Advanced training is for both experienced and new school IPM Coordinators. This second day of training is ideal for those school IPM coordinators and pest management professionals wanting to understand specifics about insect pests and rule interpretation. F. This day will offer 5 AG CES and 6 SPCS CEUS.
Instructors Day 2: Janet Hurley, ACE, Jacob Wightman
All class participants will receive a notebook with necessary forms and paperwork regarding school IPM program implementation.
