Part of these requirements is for all Independent School Districts to appoint an IPM Coordinator by the Superintendent\, and then attend an approved school IPM Coordinator training. This all-day course meets the requirements that TDA requires for all new IPM coordinators. At the same time\, for those IPM Coordinators who have been in their positions for more than three years\, this course will offer the 6 hours of CEU credit to maintain your IPM Coordinator certification. For pest management professionals and ground personnel this course offers a good foundation about integrated pest management\, the laws and rules associated with pesticide licensing\, school IPM and pesticide safety. TDA AG – 5  & SPCS – 5 credit will be available. This course is open to everyone!  \nInstructors Day 1: Dr. Don Renchie and Ms. Janet Hurley\, ACE \nDay Two – Advanced Coordinator Training \nAdvanced training is for both experienced and new school IPM Coordinators. SUMMARY:School IPM Coordinator Training RGV
DESCRIPTION:This class fulfills Texas state requirements for new IPM Coordinators who need the six‐hour class to be classified as the designated IPM coordinator. At the same time\, this class fulfills the requirements for the three‐year recertification (refresher course)\, an introduction to oﬃce staﬀ or other school administration in how to adopt and manage an IPM program\, and for pest management professionals this course will allow you to understand what is required by the Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Service rules. The course will cover legal requirements for schools\, an introduction to IPM\, how to monitor your schools under TDA requirements\, and a hands‐on exercise to understand the diﬀerence between Green\, Yellow and Red Category pesticides. Personnel who work in grounds or conducts in-house pest control can also receive 5 hours of SPCS CEU credit and/or 3 TDA AG CEU credits\, so be sure to bring you license to receive those credits.
