12/18/2003 - 2003 SWTRC Review
  2003 was a busy year for the center with trainings and school site visits. We kicked off our first IPM Pride Awards read about our year in review.
 
6/27/2002 - IPM Coordinator Training
  Coordinator Training offered in Fannin County
 
6/20/2002 - IPM Coordinator Training
  IPM Coordinator training to be offered in North East Texas.
 
5/14/2002 - North Texas M&O meeting
  Janet Hurely asked to speak at the North Texas M&O meeting.
 
5/14/2002 - TASB IPM Training
  IPM Coordinator training offered by Texas Association of School Boards, Janet Hurley asked to speak to group.
 
3/30/2002 - Southwest Technical Resource Center Brochure mailed out.
  The new brochure advertising the SWTRC was sent to 811 Texas IPM Coordinators, 539 Oklahoma Superintendents and 89 New Mexico Superintendents. If you would like to receive additional copies or would like to sign up your school district, please contact Janet Hurley at 877-747-6872 or send your name, title, school district, mailing address, phone number and e-mail address to ja-hurley@tamu.edu.
 
3/5/2002 - Texans for Alternatives to Pesticides hosts IPM Coordinator Training in Dallas.
  Program Coordinator, Janet Hurley was asked to give a small presentation to the group of 21 participants about the SWTRC and her role in aiding districts with compliance issues.
 
2/24/2002 - Navajo School IPM Program Technical Assessment and Training
  The Eastern Navajo Agency has agreed to adopt integrated pest management in three of their BIA schools located in north western New Mexico. A team of IPM specialist from Indiana and Arizona spent several days among the nation educating staff, teachers and custodians about the importance of IPM. SWTRC, program coordinator, Janet Hurley was invited to observe the training and see how the Indian Nation approached this method of pest control.
 
1/1/2002 - RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment)
  RISE awards the Southwest Technical Resource Center a $5,000 grant to implement a School IPM Recognition program. Schools in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico will compete for awards for the Best School IPM Program, Best School IPM Contractor and Most Improved IPM Program. Schools and Pest Control Companies are encouraged to watch the Awards section of the web page for updates.
 
12/1/2001 - Mold and the Quality of Human Life
  The Southwest Technical Resource Center hosted this timely class about mold and it’s affects on humans and the places they dwell. This week long class was taught at Texas A&M – Kingsville by Dr. Mani Skaria and viewed in Dallas via the TTVN network.
